Marriage and Faith in Kentucky

Genesis 1: 27, 31a “So God created mankind in his own image, in the image of God he created them; male and female he created them. God saw all that he had made, and it was very good.”

Great to have you join us again and thanks for the encouraging interaction and feedback already!  In these writings I will be alternating between articles that inform us on, and research that supports, marriage from a Faith based perspective. Some will include both information and data. This is our first posting directly related to research findings and I can’t think of a better way for us to promote and encourage marriage than to highlight “Benefits of Healthy Marriage” from an organization that clearly aligns themselves with Biblical Truth.  Over these first few submissions directly related to marriage research, I will be sharing insights and info from, “Benefits of Healthy Marriage (Marriage Statistics)” from Family Dynamics Institute.  You can obviously search out this info and move forward on your own and I encourage you to do so but if you’d like to follow along, I invite you to do so and give us your feedback.

I find it very interesting that God’s ordaining of the marriage relationship is revealed in such evident benefits in the research.  So, read, enjoy and share with all you know, and then join us as we work to encourage and hold up this honorable and sacred institution known as Marriage for the sake of us all and our posterity.  The benefits extend to couples as well as to husbands and wives individually, to children, economic benefits, and positive outcomes with regard to education, employment and overall community and social consequences.  Check it out on the summaries at this site – http://www.familydynamics.net/benefitsofhealthymarriages.htm.  I’ll break this down in more detail in future postings.  I look forward to hearing from you so go to our Blog page and weigh in.  Thanks and God bless in Christ!

Marriage in Kentucky

Eventually we will add some commentary, others and my own, to the articles and research that we help to mine and provide for you.   Initially, however, we just want you to offer these articles and studies as a resource where you can find things that will be helpful to your marriage and those you influence. This week, check out the following links from the same organization that we featured last week. For the next few posts we will feature Top 10 Lists that cover a wide range of topics regarding marriage that will hopefully give you some ideas for your own marriage and for others.  Some of you may want to read ahead as you see all the lists on the link below but for the new folks that will join us each week and from time to time, I will be rolling these out just a few at a time.  Let me know what you think and join us on our Blog page as well to read and share even more.  Tell your friends about us and invite them to join us as well. Thanks again for joining us and for your feedback. Here is the first of several Top 10 Lists. I hope you find them helpful and/or enjoyable.

NOTE: Please understand that when we provide information from other sources (especially on this culture page) not directly from the Kentucky Marriage Movement, we are not necessarily endorsing or agreeing with everything that is offered.  The purpose of this page it to show the current trends in research and other areas of culture that for the most part are Marriage friendly and/or supportive of marriage and will for the most part, if done well, line up with what is offered on our Faith-based page.  We simply want to make you aware and then you can discern what is appropriate for you and your family.  The research should speak for itself, and with regard to other information shared on this page, we will do our best to be careful not to include anything that is blatantly and overtly against healthy marriage principles and teaching. Please let us know if you come across anything that does not fit this explanation and thanks again for joining us.
