Love is a commitment, a continual choice, an act of the will. It is not a feeling nor based on a feeling, although it has many good and bad emotions attached to it! Just think how Christ felt (mentally, emotionally, relationally, spiritually) as He hung on the Cross for His Bride, the Church (all those who truly believe)? Even though He could have stopped it all, He remained committed…this is Real Love! What would happen if you applied this definition of Love to your Marriage? To your spouse?
